When you buy wholesale — from authorized distributors or directly from brands — the products arrive in case packs without FNSKU labels, often without the specific packaging Amazon requires. The prep process includes applying FNSKU barcode labels (covering manufacturer UPCs), poly bagging items that require sealed packaging, bubble wrapping fragile products, assembling multi-packs with "Sold as Set" labels, and packing compliant cartons that meet Amazon's 50 lb weight limit and box size standards.

Since January 1, 2026, Amazon no longer offers its own FBA Prep Service. According to Amazon Seller Central, every unit must arrive at fulfillment centers fully prepped and labeled — or the seller incurs a $1.74/unit Inbound Defect Fee. What happens if my wholesale inventory arrives damaged?
We inspect all inbound wholesale shipments during check-in. Damaged or defective units are photographed, flagged in our system, and quarantined before prep begins. You receive a detailed inspection report and can decide whether to have damaged units returned, disposed of, or processed separately.
