Walmart Seller Glossary

Terms specific to Walmart Marketplace and WFS — distinct from general B2B procurement vocabulary.

WFS Inbound Shipment
A WFS inbound shipment is the box-and-pallet package a seller sends to a Walmart Fulfillment Services warehouse so WFS can pick, pack, and ship customer orders on the seller's behalf.
Walmart Item Setup
Walmart item setup is the process of creating a product listing on Walmart.com — submitting the catalog feed, product attributes, images, compliance documents, and pricing through Seller Center or a feed partner.
Walmart BIR (Brand/Item Registry)
The Walmart Brand/Item Registry (BIR) is Walmart Marketplace's brand-protection program, letting verified brand owners and authorized sellers report counterfeit listings, control key product attributes, and enforce against policy violations on Walmart.com.
Walmart Buy Box
The Walmart buy box is the default add-to-cart slot on a Walmart.com product listing — the seller who wins it captures nearly all sales volume on that SKU, and buy-box wins/losses shift multiple times per day based on price, inventory, delivery speed, and seller performance.
